Going green with Pantone

You might have noticed that I am a bit of an outdoorsy type of girl: I prefer all kinds of activities in the fresh air over staying inside and spring literally makes my heart jump. Also I love to surround myself with nature and am constantly bringing nature inside our home: Plants and flowers give me a natural high and green aka the color of nature makes me feel one with our planet. Yet, up until now, I’ve been avoiding it in my closet as I once had a particularly bold green shirt in high school and wore it over and over again until I realized it looked goddamn awful on me when we received our yearbook picture and I, of course, had worn it for the special occasion.

When PANTONE announced its Color of the Year 2017 ‘Greenery’, a zesty yellowy-green shade, I decided to give it a try and to slowly approach the idea of going green with a particularly lovely blouse I found at H&M last week. I paired it with my current favorite pair of jeans, the new Levi’s 501 Skinny, and some cute sandals from Zara (snake print…. hisssssss!). Well, what shall I say, I fell in love with this ensemble and might even bring more green on my everyday wardrobe agenda. Thanks PANTONE!
