Effortlessly chic: Breton stripes

Regardless of the season all things striped usually catch my attention. If I had to come up with a list of my wardrobe staples, Breton striped shirts would definitely be at the top of it. It is never wrong to wear stripes and believe me, they will never go out of style. Introduced as a uniform to the French navy in Brittany, this striped classic made its way to the fashion world in 1917 (Thank you, Coco!) and quickly became a must have in fashion industry. Given its timeless appearance, you can pair it with almost everything: Dress it up with a blazer and heels for a workday or dress it down with some skinny jeans and ballet flats for the weekend – you’ll still look fabulous either way. Simple, chic and effortlessly stylish it really gives the impression that you’ve brushed up on your style game. For a sophisticated, minimal look you can pair it with a biker jacket and a bold red lip and you certainly won’t go unnoticed.
